PM allocates numerous development projects aggregating about Rs 27,000 crore

Today in Jagdalpur, Bastar, Chhattisgarh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the cornerstone for numerous development projects totaling about Rs 27,000 crore and dedicated them to the nation. Along with other projects in the railway and road sectors, the projects include the dedication of NMDC Steel Ltd.'s steel plant at Nagarnar in the Bastar district, which cost more than Rs 23,800 crores. Additionally, he started the Taroki-Raipur DEMU Train Service.

Speaking to the crowd, the prime minister said that only until every state, every district, and every hamlet in the nation achieves development can the vision of a Viksit Bharat come true. He hailed the people of Chhattisgarh for the development projects and stated that projects costing approximately 27,000 crores were started today to carry out these resolutions.  The infrastructure for Viksit Bharat, according to the prime minister, should be adapted to the demands of the twenty-first century. He disclosed that this year's infrastructure spending will be 10 lakh crore, a six-fold increase from last year.

The Prime Minister cited the economic corridor and contemporary highways in Chhattisgarh in reference to the Central government's emphasis on connectivity. He also mentioned that Chhattisgarh's railway budget has increased by around 20 times since 2014. After so many years of independence, he claimed Taroki is receiving a gift in the form of a new railway line. The country's railway network now connects Taroki, which will make it simpler to go to Raipur, the nation's capital. The initiative to double the rail line between Jagdalpur and Dantewada will ease travel and lower the cost of logistics.

Among those present at the event were the governor of Chhattisgarh, Biswabhusan Harichandan, and the member of parliament, Mohan Mandavi.

The NMDC Steel Ltd. steel plant at Nagarnar in the Bastar district was dedicated to the country by the prime minister in a move that will significantly advance the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision. The steel plant, a greenfield project that cost more than Rs 23,800 crores to build, would make high-quality steel. Thousands of people will have the opportunity to find work at the steel mill in Nagarnar owned by NMDC Steel Ltd., as well as in supporting and downstream sectors. It will advance the socioeconomic development of the area and put Bastar on the global steel map.

The event saw the laying of the first stone and dedication of numerous rail projects, all in keeping with the prime minister's goal of upgrading the nation's rail infrastructure. A new rail route between Antagarh and Taroki and a project to double the length of the rail line between Jagdalpur and Dantewada were both dedicated by the prime minister to the country. He also laid the cornerstone for the doubling of the Boridand-Surajpur train line and the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme's restoration of Jagdalpur Station. The Taroki - Raipur DEMU Train Service was also launched by the prime minister. The state's tribal territories will have better connection thanks to these train projects. Locals will profit from the increased train service and upgraded rail infrastructure, which will also aid in the region's economic growth.

A road improvement project on National Highway 43 from the "Kunkuri to Chhattisgarh - Jharkhand Border section" was also dedicated by the prime minister to the country. The residents living in the area will benefit from the new road's improved road connectivity.
